Honoring Our Intuition

Sometimes we allow ourselves to believe that we are OK with things that, if we were honest with ourselves, we really aren’t.

You know what I mean, don’t you?

Sometimes we allow ourselves to believe that we don’t need or want something that, if we listened to our heart and souls’ desire, we very much do?

You know what I am speaking of, don’t you?

Sometimes we dismiss our intuition, allowing ourselves to believe it is not to be trusted.

You feel this in your own body too, don’t you?

It’s so understandable that we do this sometimes! More than sometimes. Listening to ourselves - being aware of what we truly think and feel and know is a practice we have collectively lost touch with. Historic and current societal conditioning cause us to turn our heads and hearts from our truest, deepest thoughts, feelings and knowings.

We have done so well in these conditions. You have! We get to be so pleased with ourselves, right now, as is. You do! And - there is so much more possible for us and our world. For you!

Remembering how to listen to ourselves - returning to ourselves - opens the path for us to live the lives we most desire and bring forth the healing our world is so yearning for!

So ask yourself. What do you truly yearn for? What do you truly need? What do you really think? What do you really know?

Listen to your answers. Listen deeply.

Listen to yourself as you listen to a dear friend when you are really present for them. You matter that much too.

Listen, even when your answers scare you or feel wrong or impossible. Listen especially to those answers, as they tend to lead to the most important places.

We fear it will hurt too much if we notice the ways we are not honoring ourselves, yet noticing what is hurting us does not hurt more. Those hurting places in us are there, wanting our loving attention, whether we turn our conscious attention towards us or not and suppressing them just adds to their hurt .

Shining light into all those places inside us, with so much compassion, is our path to individual and collective healing.

When we take an honest look deep inside, we don’t only notice hurt inside us. We get to notice all the wonderful things that have been suppressed along with any hurts we are hiding from. We get to see, hear, remember our powerful strength, potent imaginings and deep knowing. We get to notice all that we vision for ourselves and the world. We get to notice that we are capable of bringing that vision to life. We get to notice that we are not alone.

I’d love to hear your answers to these questions! Share with me here.

When you share, especially what feels most precious and personal, you'll find that so many around you are eagerly waiting to listen and share their answers too. We get to do this together. We are meant to.

So much love!
