About Me

I am an LCSW therapist, coach, teacher and group facilitator with over 30 years of practice with people of diverse identities, ages and life stories in a wide array of settings. My work has included therapy, coaching, supervision, group design and facilitation, teaching, community organizing, transformative decluttering and a decade and a half directing programs in a community-based social work agency. Other heart work has included board leadership, coordinating community events and projects large and small, canvassing and earth healing, sustainability projects.

My approach is collaborative, intuitive and full of heart and is rooted in my own lived experience of healing, learning and emerging.

I weave together a range of therapeutic healing modalities including IFS, Hakomi and other holistic, somatic, nature-based and anti-oppressive modalities into my work with individuals, groups and organizations. I work around themes including oppression-ending practices, shame, loneliness, group facilitation, giving and receiving feedback, empowering practice with youth and tending to self as a practitioner.

My formal education includes an MSW from Hunter College and a BA in Social Thought and Political Economy from the University of Massachusetts, with internship in Costa Rica and Nicaragua. My informal education has been vast and varied with countless teachers, mentors, and healers of all ages and backgrounds. I have learned as much from those I have taught and counseled as from those who have taught and counseled me. Among the many humans who inspire me and inform my work are Robin Wall Kimmerer, Asia Suler, Resma Menakeem and Gloria Steinem.

The heart and soul of my work is helping humans reconnect with ourselves, each other, our intuition, our bodies and our natural world. My active commitment to ending oppression is interwoven into my practice, Healing internalized oppression out of our minds, hearts and bodies and transforming all systems and structures doing harm (sexism, racism, classism, antisemitism, islamaphobia, homophobia, language oppression, young peoples’ oppression, mothers’ oppression, etc,) is interconnected and essential for our individual healing.

Among my many passions are connecting with humans, trees, wildflowers, cows, travel, abundant laughter and dark chocolate.

I’d love to support you on your own unique path to healing transformation and the life you most truly desire.

I warmly welcome you to reach out!
